Panhandle Search and Rescue Fundraiser – September 5th Recap

On September 5th, Panhandle Search and Rescue held a raffle fundraiser at the Chipley Walmart, and it turned out to be an unforgettable day. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we were able to raise $1,002 in support of our mission.
While on-site, we also had the unexpected chance to put our skills to use outside of fundraising. A woman tripped over the curb and sustained a cut to her head that required stitches. Our team responded immediately—providing first aid, keeping pressure on the wound, and shading her with an umbrella to protect her from the heat until EMS arrived.
We are grateful to serve a community that supports us and proud to have been able to put our training into action when it was needed most.
